There is a very good light rail network that runs from Valencia to Alicante. While staying in Villajoyosa we took advantage and jumped on the tram to Alicante. We walked around the city, marina and beach and found somewhere for lunch before heading back. It’s a large city but being right on the beach makes it very attractive. We enjoyed our day there and we were really impressed with the public transport and the light rail network.
