Our next day trip and tram journey was to the northern village of Altea.

It’s a beautiful white village on the coast that is super popular in summer and also has a large expat population but it still felt very Spanish so that was nice.

The old historic village is located on top of the hill behind the beachside town. Notice the dome of the church is covered in blue tiles. This is a very common sight in the churches in the Valencian Community.

We had a walk along the promenade and then a lovely Italian lunch. Perfect blue sky day.
