On our last day in Villaviciosa, we did a cider tour at Llagar Castañón.
Asturias has a long history of producing “sidra natural”, and almost any village or town you visit will have a host of sideria’s – bars and restaurants serving sidre.

The tour was great and Paula our guide spoke great English and was happy to explain everything in English as well as Spanish.
Great to have a taste and learn more about it. We like the natural sidre which relies on being poured from a height to carbonate the sidre, but we prefer the more traditional cider that we know, which is bottled carbonated.
We packed up early the next day to drive to the Bilbao to pick up the Jordan/Lyons Family. Excited to see everyone.

Looks like you guys had a great cider tour. Good to see!

Looks like a new vocation for Salv, when I first looked at the photo I thought why is Salv standing in a bin, loving all the photos and information giving us plenty of ideas for our next trip.
